Promoting Nature Awareness &
Environmental Education
The
Guardians work to preserve and enhance natural resources.
They help landowners identify natural areas and protect
native flora and fauna. Guardians get excited about practices
that are good for the environment.
Guardian programs appeal to ecological and environmental
issues — and to people. It's easy to join them at
a lecture or workshop. Or on a field trip to a forest, prairie,
or wetland.
The Guardians present the natural history of northwest Illinois
in ways which all members can appreciate. Anyone can become
a Guardian. All activities are open to the public.
The Conservation Guardians of Northwest Illinois is a division
of Jo Daviess Conservation Foundation, a non-profit, 501-3c
charitable and educational organization.
